Raw Ventures Launches Online Pitching Sessions to Support MediaTech Startups
Raw Ventures, a Venture Fund in Europe specialising in MediaTech innovation, has unveiled a bi-weekly online pitching programme exclusively for early-stage MediaTech startups.
This initiative aims to offer vital support and exposure for these startups, presenting their revolutionary concepts to potential investors and experts, with a chance to secure funding up to €1,000,000. This is particularly significant as venture capital funding has seen a 42% decline, creating unique opportunities for MediaTech startups that may not be available elsewhere.
This move is a continuation of the success achieved by the First Global MediaTech Pitch Day. Raw Ventures is currently engaged in due diligence and finalising term sheets with some of the event's finalists. The year 2023 saw over 15,000 first-time founders in Europe and the USA, many of whom have struggled to effectively pitch their ideas, impacting their ability to attract investments in the current economic climate. The cost-free online sessions are designed to bridge this gap, providing a specialised platform for startups to hone their pitching skills and gain critical feedback on their products, business models, and market fit from venture capitalists and industry experts.
Victoria Palatnik, CEO and Managing Partner at Raw Ventures, commented: “Beyond financial support, these sessions act as an essential conduit for startups to refine, connect, and launch their innovative ideas in the vast MediaTech sphere. With 80% of founders recognising the growing difficulty in securing venture capital in the past year, we view these sessions as key in enabling startups to navigate this changing environment, fostering innovation and driving the MediaTech sector to greater heights.”
To participate in Raw Ventures’ online pitching events, startups are invited to submit their applications through the Discord community. Companies eligible to participate span a variety of areas, including those streamlining production and distribution for different content types, enhancing creative processes, executing marketing tasks, and engaging in TV, cinema, streaming, advertising, podcasts, music, as well as those integrating diverse technologies into media processes.
