New Native Inc platform lablab.ai partners with AI71 to launch an AI-focused event

New Native Inc’s platform, lablab.ai, dedicated to promoting AI innovation, has announced its support for AI71, an AI company launched by Abu Dhabi's Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC) and VentureOne. Together, they are organising a hackathon featuring the Falcon Large Language Models.

This collaboration fits into New Native’s broader mission: to bridge the gap between advanced AI technologies and their creators and enthusiasts. By doing so, it aims to dismantle barriers to accessibility and introduce its lablab.ai community to a significant new player in the AI field.

Participants in the hackathon will gain exclusive access to AI71’s API Hub. This hub allows users to utilise the Falcon LLMs via a pay-as-you-go model, eliminating the need for downloading the entire LLM, which demands substantial computational resources.

"The world has made incredible strides in AI development – the challenge is applying it to real-world problems," said Reda Nidhakou, the Acting CEO of VentureOne, AI71's parent company. "That is the crux of this competition, and of AI71, which is dedicated to using AI to transform the way we work. Through the Falcon Hackathon, we’re offering coders unprecedented access to the Falcon LLMs through a beta release of our API Hub. We look forward to seeing the ground-breaking projects they will create.”

"This collaboration with AI71, especially with the deployment of their new API Hub, is in perfect alignment with an important part of our mission to democratize access to technology on a global playing field," said Pawel Czech, Co-Founder at New Native. "We're excited to introduce our community to a powerful alternative within the industry that's becoming increasingly well-respected. This is about partnering with a company that is becoming more recognized for its ongoing development and contributions in playing a major role supporting the growth of the AI industry."

Participants in the hackathon are vying for a $20,000 prize pool, which includes both cash and credits. Everyone who passes the pre-screening will receive a set number of tokens. The event aims to highlight the adaptability of Falcon's technology and platform, driving innovation in sectors like healthcare, legal, education, and retail, while giving participants the freedom to explore novel applications.

This partnership is anticipated to have a considerable impact on developers and AI builders in the lablab.ai community, granting them access to a formidable LLM that can stand toe-to-toe with other industry giants. As the Falcon LLM garners acclaim for its advancements and contributions to the AI sector, this collaboration cements New Native's role as a pivotal player in the sphere of emerging AI technologies.
