New incubator for mission led startups launches in Sussex
MISSION, the incubator programme for early-stage startups with purpose, today opens for applications.
Designed by Brighton’s independent flexible workspace provider, Projects, to support entrepreneurs make a lasting positive impact on the environment and society, the programme will offer group masterclasses and one-to-one coaching across all core business themes from brand identity and good business strategy, to raising investment.
Those selected to receive funding for the six-month-long incubator will also be provided with business mentoring, workspace membership, event hosting facilities and community building opportunities.
Set to support ten entrepreneurs at a time, the first MISSION programme is due to start in late June 2022, with applications closing on 25 April 2022.
Mila Brazzi, founder of MISSION and Creative Director at Projects, said: “Business should be a force for good. The climate emergency and social inequality are profound issues that require immediate and powerful action. In just one week, the UK’s full-time workforce jointly works the equivalent of 8 million days – imagine the potential for change if business collectively considered people and the planet, in line with profits.
“MISSION is all about supporting like-minded people with their early-stage businesses, giving them the best chance to make maximum impact. We’re excited to be working on this in partnership with other good businesses in the city, strengthening and uniting Brighton’s purpose-driven startup ecosystem.”
Applications are open to mission-led, registered businesses founded within the last three years and with 10 employees or fewer. For more information and to apply, visit here.
