MongoDB has become a Corporate Partner of Tech Barcelona, strengthening its support for Barcelona's expanding technology sector.
The company's developer data platform, known for its globally distributed operational database and integrated services, enables development teams to meet the increasing demands of modern applications with a cohesive and consistent user experience.
With its global headquarters in New York and a listing on the NASDAQ, MongoDB has seen its platform downloaded hundreds of millions of times since its inception in 2007. It serves tens of thousands of clients across over 100 countries, including notable names like Lidl, Wolt, and Vodafone.
The company boasts a significant footprint in Europe, maintaining 17 offices, with its international headquarters located in Dublin. In Barcelona, MongoDB has enhanced its sector-specific team to cater to the requirements of the financial services, retail, healthcare, and automotive manufacturing sectors. The Barcelona office is also home to key personnel from the engineering, customer service, and marketing intelligence departments.
“For the last ten years, Tech Barcelona has worked to foster entrepreneurship and economic impact in the city, helping to grow its footprint of startups and encourage innovations,” said Boris Bialek, Field CTO, Industry Solutions, MongoDB. “These values are what drive us forward at MongoDB as well, empowering innovators to create, transform, and disrupt. As a new member of the Tech Barcelona community, we are excited to meet with like-minded organisations, to collaborate with entrepreneurs, and to participate in this active community.”

"The incorporation of MongoDB, with its outstanding experience and global reputation, represents a valuable opportunity for our technological and digital ecosystem, as well as the addition of a very relevant international player to continue consolidating Barcelona as a global benchmark," concluded Miquel Martí.
