Mentor Group launches VR solution to aid sales training
Sales training company Mentor Group has introduced a VR training solution designed to enhance essential sales skills for their clients.
Research indicates that VR training boasts a knowledge retention rate of 75%, significantly higher than traditional methods like lectures, reading, and audio-visual learning. This effectiveness is attributed to VR's ability to create immersive, experiential learning environments that engage multiple senses and emotions.
The technology enables Mentor Group to craft fully immersive virtual environments, allowing users to interact with realistic sales scenarios. This can be done using Mentor Group-owned wearable headsets, clients' own headsets, or other compatible devices such as desktops or laptops.
Businesses adopting Mentor Group's VR training tool will receive customised programmes tailored to their specific needs. Users can engage in scenarios, role-playing activities, and problem-solving tasks within a risk-free environment, practising skills and techniques outside typical client-facing situations.
Furthermore, the VR solution supports delivery in 29 languages and can incorporate synthetic media videos – AI-generated content – to assist in onboarding newcomers. Training scenarios can also be 'gamified' to enhance the impact of the learning experience.
James Barton, Chief Solutions Officer, at Mentor Group, said: “It’s unsurprising to see that companies who have implemented VR technology are seeing the benefits meet or exceed their expectations.”
He adds: “This innovative technology enhances the sales process, delivering a more engaging and immersive experience for sellers. At Mentor Group, we are driven by our desire to empower what we call ‘sustainable selling’. Using our VR solution, we can build real customer scenarios for our clients, helping them achieve consistent and sustained revenue performance and ROI.”
