Manchester’s RiskSmart becomes Tech Nation’s Rising Stars 5.0 City Winner

RiskSmart, the Manchester-based risk management company built to simplify risk for SMEs, today announces it is the winner of Tech Nation’s 5.0 Rising Star City Award. The rapidly growing start-up won the exclusive award, which commends rising and performing tech companies, from a pool of over 450 applicants.

The Tech Nation Rising Star 5.0 City Award recognises tech companies with proactive market traction. It allows the brightest and top-performing tech companies to access masterclasses and bespoke support, whilst also providing companies with the opportunity to showcase and leverage their business to investors, accelerators, entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, and the UK tech community.

Upon winning the award, RiskSmart is now able to showcase its expertise and talent within the UK risk management sector, as one of the most exciting and innovative businesses at tech community events across the UK. RiskSmart will furthermore be able to leverage its location in Manchester - recently named the UK's No.1 Regional Tech City - providing additional opportunities as the startup looks at further growth.

Being recognised as one of the North West's most innovative tech companies is no small feat, and comes about from a milestone of achievements for the company after it was recently named one of Prolific North’s Top 25 Tech Companies to Watch in the North. Furthermore, the risk management company has also achieved Pending B-Corp certified status, a sustainability credential given to companies that aim to bring about social and environmental change.

Ryan Swann, Founder at RiskSmart, comments: “We don’t take this acknowledgement lightly – we’re in great company among everyone who entered Rising Stars 5.0. I speak for the whole RiskSmart team when I say I can’t wait to see where this takes us next.”

RiskSmart continues to move from success to success, as it prepares to launch its revolutionary platform in Q1 2023 after securing a £1m investment this year. For further information, please visit:
