Huckletree announces its eighth hub in Broadgate, Liverpool Street

Huckletree, the UK and Ireland’s network of curated coworking hubs for innovative businesses, is set to open its eighth workspace in Broadgate, Liverpool Street this September in a deal signed with British Land, one of Europe’s largest listed real estate investment companies.

The announcement, which is a part of in Huckletree’s wider expansion plans to grow to a quarter of a million square feet by the end of this year, coincides with London being identified as the world’s co-working capital, out-scoring other global cities and emerging as the number one location for those looking for flexible office space. The city has seen a boom in the flexible office sector with its highest yet take-up following business rates rising and 74% of operators planning to expand, and countless businesses and property owners are letting go of long-standing leases and looking for a hybrid model for their teams.

Broadgate is a 21-acre neighbourhood, bridging the City of London and the creative, tech-focused communities of Shoreditch and Old Street. The campus is home to many of the world’s leading financial, legal, tech and media businesses alongside some of London’s best food, drink, retail, and entertainment. Broadgate sits alongside Liverpool Street railway station, which will soon undergo redevelopment to improve the connection of one of London’s busiest commuter hubs to the bustling surrounding area.

Huckletree will span four floors of the newly refurbished, highly sustainable 199 Bishopsgate, amongst a thriving neighbourhood of traditional finance and disruptive technology players. Huckletree Liverpool Street will be focused on enriching the lives of its members and ultimately look to help innovative businesses of all sizes to thrive. The carefully curated workspace will provide 35,000 sq ft of private offices, two enterprise suites, meeting rooms, collaborative breakout areas, a Town Hall event space, and communal kitchens. Designed sustainably, with evolved styles of working in mind, Huckletree Liverpool Street will also have a plant-based café, member’s bar and a dedicated wellness area offering complimentary yoga, meditation and breathwork sessions.

Members at Huckletree Liverpool Street will also have access to tailored programming that includes founder circles and workshop sessions with leading experts, as well as a network of venture capital investors. With a growing community of now 75+ global ambassadors, 100+ venture partners, 4000+ members and 1,500+ alumni; the Huckletree ecosystem sets the business apart and goes beyond being just a physical office space.

Huckletree is also planning to open more hubs this year, including one in London’s south west area and the recently announced Huckletree Innovation Lab at Regent's University London, their first university hub. This follows the March opening of their Oxford Circus hub bringing together Web3 and AI pioneers building the future of technology.

Gabriela Hersham, Co-Founder and CEO of Huckletree comments: “In the last two years we have focused on building incredible experiences as people return to the workspace with higher expectations than ever before, expanding our programmes to reach more entrepreneurs and businesses globally, and scaling our business with Oxford Circus opening earlier this year and Liverpool Street set to open this autumn. Our members work alongside the most exciting community of disruptive companies, entrepreneurs and global teams who are leading the way in their industries. We have ambitious growth plans, and I am proud to be bringing Huckletree to the heart of London’s financial district.”

Michael Wiseman, Head of Office Leasing at British Land comments: “Across our central London campuses we continue to attract innovative businesses looking for well connected, amenity-rich, sustainable workspace for teams to come together and collaborate, so it’s great to be supporting Huckletree’s expansion plans with their exciting new space at Broadgate’s 199 Bishopsgate. Huckletree’s arrival will complement our Storey offer which provides personalised, flexible working environments for forward-thinking companies and which we continue to grow throughout our campuses.”
