Starting a business makes you happier. At least, according to participants in the recent study by IONOS SE. 500 Brits were asked about their dream jobs, and 59.3% stated that it would make them happy to start their very own business.
Compelling reasons for launching a business
Almost 60 % of Brits dream of freedom. But why do the Brits want to launch their own businesses? Here’s a look at what ranked as the best incentives to starting-up:

- 4th place: Self-realisation (32%)

If you thought that the COVID-19 pandemic increased the need for job security, you thought wrong. For over 40% of the participants, the appeal of self-employment is greater than ever. Job loss and furlough has only fueled the British desire to go solo in business. The participants did acknowledge how the pandemic would change their businesses, however, with many stating an online presence as the most important aspect for their future companies. The younger participants took this a step further, stating they would only use a digital business model, forgetting the analogue model altogether. To read more, download the free IONOS SE e-book.
