Engine unveils Bid Writer tool
London-based AI company, Engine, has officially introduced Bid Writer, an AI-driven tool aimed at reshaping the way businesses handle proposal writing.
Engine, known for its expertise in developing tailored AI systems, focuses on ‘knowledge engines’ that provide clients with advanced natural language AI capabilities. These solutions allow businesses to leverage AI without the risks of data exposure or reliance on inconsistent online sources.
Bid Writer uses retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) technology, training on a company’s historical bids, case studies, and sales documents. This tool eliminates the traditionally time-consuming task of creating proposals by delivering personalised responses in the client’s preferred style within seconds.
During initial trials, feedback has been positive, with both public and private sector organisations seeing marked improvements. Clients reported that Bid Writer helped them generate first drafts instantly, reducing the reliance on a blank slate. Those involved in the trials claimed they were able to answer complex questions more efficiently, submit proposals faster, and maintain a consistent tone across all their responses, ultimately increasing their bid success rate.
Kieron White, Co-Founder of Engine, said: “We’re delighted to have launched our AI-powered Bid Writer which is specially designed to help teams focus on what truly matters: closing sales and driving growth. Having received excellent user feedback during the trial phase, we can’t wait to see many more businesses taking up our product, and unlocking all the benefits that it offers.”
Neil Watkins, Co-Founder of Engine, added: “If you’re looking to streamline your proposal process and increase your win rate, this is the tool you’ve been waiting for. We’re excited to see how it will help you achieve even greater success!”
Founded in September 2023, Engine was created to help SMEs and public sector organisations to take advantage of the opportunities created by rapidly evolving AI innovations. The team at Engine wants organisations that do not necessarily have much in-house expertise or disposable cash to take advantage of AI cheaply, quickly, and easily, without having to manage the technicalities and risks involved.
