EMERGE tech conference returns to Yerevan, prioritising networking and innovation

The EMERGE International Tech Conference is set to return to Yerevan, bringing together trailblazers from emerging markets and seasoned venture capitalists eager to discover the next wave of IT talent.

This year's conference marks a significant departure from its usual format, with a heightened focus on fostering connections and building lasting relationships. Scheduled for 25th-26th September, the event will take place at o2 Gardens, an innovative venue in Armenia offering an oxygen-rich environment.

Anticipating an audience of over 2,000 attendees, including IT professionals, investors, and tech visionaries like Uzum, the conference will draw participants from Central and Eastern Europe, Western Europe, the Balkans, Central Asia, the USA, and the MENAT region. Notable figures such as Alex Kudos from Social Discovery Club and Lara Varjabedian, co-founder of UBQT, will lead a series of solo talks, live interviews, panel discussions, and interactive workshops.

The EMERGE CHALLENGE Finals, a cornerstone of the event, will also take place at the venue. This startup competition has helped founders secure over €30 million in funding over the past six years. Investors from HEARTFELT, Tensor Ventures, and Sukna Ventures are already confirmed to participate, making it a key highlight of the conference.

“As a deeptech investor, I'm drawn to EMERGE for its unique focus on cutting-edge technologies and early-stage startups in the Eastern European region,” notes Daniel Hastik, investor and partner at Tensor Ventures. “EMERGE's carefully curated startup showcase and networking opportunities offer a valuable edge in discovering high-potential investment opportunities before they hit the global radar”

In response to the intense global agenda, this year EMERGE is placing special emphasis on building strong and meaningful connections within the international startup community. The venue will hold over 10 themed networking events, connecting people with similar professional goals and personal interests.

Fonz Morris, Lead Product Designer at Netflix and previous speaker at Emerge, remembers the conference as full of enthusiastic attendees and driven founders. “I connected with a diverse group of professionals who are truly passionate about pushing the boundaries of the industry, and I delivered one of my best talks yet,” adds Morris.
