Democratising venture investing through a mobile app
Axevil Capital's mobile app is breaking down barriers for venture capitalists and aspiring investors. The app enables users to quickly invest in companies that analysts have thoroughly vetted and recognised, read all necessary information about every startup, and monitor reports. You conduct the entire process and documentation electronically, directly from your phone.
Axevil has already invested in successful startups like Confluent (this was the first and quick exit with 256% per annum for investors), Revolut, and popular products from the fintech industry Klarna and Stripe (during the down cycle, taking advantage of the downtrend with a very attractive valuation of the company).
Why is this needed?
Venture capital is often seen as an exclusive club due to the lack of transparent reporting and complex investment mechanisms. But Axevil is changing that by making it accessible and allowing a diverse range of private investors to participate in venture investing.
“We think that any private investor's portfolio should include venture investments. Research from JP Morgan suggests that including venture investments in a diversified portfolio can reduce risk and enhance returns. In the application, we show offers already selected by our analytical team, whose investment attractiveness we are confident in,” Alexander, a startup co-founder, says.
He believes that in the venture capital market, having access to the community and the possibility of investing in the best companies is crucial. Thanks to the Axevil app, investors have access to unique chances both in the secondary market and in primary rounds together with famous funds.
How it works
The mobile application merely serves as an interface, concealing a venture ecosystem that includes a team of analysts, copywriters, lawyers, and other professionals.
The app provides comprehensive information on each investment opportunity, verified by Axevil's team of analysts, and simplifies the investment process with electronic transactions. It eliminates the need for paper documents.
Moreover, the application stores all documents confirming the ownership of a particular asset. Investors also receive updates on the current portfolio and information about new offers.
Thus, all necessary stages of investment have been converted into electronic form and simplified as much as possible. An AI-powered investment consultant is even available to answer your questions.
Only seven steps to invest
With all the information you need, the app makes investing in carefully vetted startups simple and clear. Five simple steps make up the whole investing process.
Step 1: Select a company to invest in from the available investment cases.
Step 2: Complete KYC. All you need for your online verification is an identity card and a couple of minutes.
Step 3: Electronically sign the investment agreement, which will reflect all the main parameters of the transaction.
Step 4: Transfer money using a convenient method.
Step 5: Obtain an SEC-registered stock certificate.
Step 6: Monitor your portfolio's dynamics and receive quarterly company updates.
Step 7: Wait for a liquidity event, sell securities, and take a profit.
Axevil’s investment selection criteria
Axevil's experts examine 1,300 companies around the world valued at more than $1 billion and select the top 120 for scrutiny, focusing on product, financial performance, and industry potential. Our portfolio will only include the 30 most promising companies.
Analysts also consider the customer base balance, revenue growth rate, and retention rate, which indicate how long current customers remain with the company. In addition, the team analyses the company's ownership structure to understand what the investment case might look like.
The application showcase only includes companies that have successfully passed this strict selection process. Typically, up to six different investment offers are active on the storefront at the same time. Some of them close gradually as they approach the limit of available allocation, but new offers are constantly appearing.
“We have also been adding AI projects to our portfolio lately. Scale AI and Anthropic – infrastructure players in the AI industry – are two of the available open offers. Focusing on AI at the right time can bring good returns to our investors because the deals were obtained on favorable terms,” says co-founder Alexander.
Future outlooks
Soon, the application should offer new investment opportunities not only in late stage and pre-IPO companies but also in other earlier stages.
To increase the liquidity of assets, trading on the secondary market is planned.
“The fact is, when buying pre-IPO shares, investors have little chance of getting money for them until liquidity becomes available. They need to wait for the IPO. We plan to give investors the possibility of making an illiquid asset liquid; they will be able to put their shares up for sale directly in the application. If there are willing buyers, we will transfer this block of shares to another person,” Alexander explains.
Axevil Capital is already working with all major brokers and planning to develop a showcase of affiliate products. They also plan to improve the portfolio tracking functionality, enabling investors to track the dynamics of their portfolio companies, including those acquired through other platforms.
Democratisation begins with education. Therefore, the platform plans to create a course for those who are just getting acquainted with this asset class. The information will help investors make beneficial decisions.
