CWIEME Berlin introduces new startup zone

The CWIEME Berlin event, a gathering in the global coil winding and electrical manufacturing sector, has announced the introduction of a dedicated zone for startups in its 2024 edition.

This year, the event takes place at Messe Berlin from 14-16th May, offering attendees the opportunity to explore cutting-edge innovations from the industry's newest players and entrepreneurs.

Already, three startups have confirmed their participation in CWIEME Berlin's inaugural startup zone: TRAFOLO, SciMo, and RVmagnetics. TRAFOLO will present its 3D FEM simulation software designed for power electronics, which enables users to simulate the operation of transformers or inductors before constructing the first physical prototype. This advanced software aims to prevent critical design flaws and deepen customers' understanding of their products.

Within the same zone, SciMo will exhibit its line of high-performance electric motors, noted for their exceptional power-to-weight ratio, making them perfectly suited for the rigorous demands of aerospace and motorsport applications. Despite being a relatively new entrant to the market, SciMo boasts significant achievements, including its products' use by a Formula Student team that clinched the world championship.

RVmagnetics, another startup, will introduce its groundbreaking invention – the MicroWire, the world's smallest custom passive sensor capable of simultaneously measuring multiple physical parameters such as temperature, vibration, flow, and pressure. This versatile sensor is especially beneficial for use in the automotive, aerospace, and healthcare industries, among others.

“There are around 4.4 million businesses started every year, on average,” explained Chris Lee, Portfolio Director at Hyve Group, organiser of CWIEME Berlin. “Even within our sector, that’s a huge number of companies doing incredible things, which is why we decided that now is the right time to introduce our startup zone.

“CWIEME Berlin is all about showcasing the latest innovation and facilitating partnerships between businesses in the field – both of which are particularly important for startups. We look forward to seeing what groundbreaking ideas and technologies the startup community brings to 2024’s event.”

CWIEME Berlin is actively seeking additional innovative startups to fill its new zone. Interested parties can discover more on the event's website or by contacting the sales team via email at sales@cwiemeevents.com.
