Beasy launches to help small businesses grow with confidence

A business comparison site has launched to eliminate the confusion and stress experienced by small business owners when choosing services like broadband, insurance, and energy tariffs.

Beasy, created “to make running a business a walk in the park”, uses tech-powered personalisation to help time-poor small business owners overloaded by choice make informed decisions on the right products and services for them, as surging business costs continue to heap pressure on the 5.4 million small businesses which account for 99% of all businesses in the UK.

Founded by entrepreneurs Arif Miah and Ala Uddin, who co-founded creative marketing agency Mud Orange, Beasy empowers small business owners with intelligent and personalised comparisons across a broad product spectrum - from mobile contracts, broadband, insurance and energy, to accounting tools, website building platforms, co-working spaces and card payment systems - based on their business type, size and needs.

“We are here to truly disrupt the way small businesses compare and buy business products and services, and modernise a market that’s outdated”, said Beasy’s Co-Founder and CEO, Arif Miah. “Small businesses are the backbone of the UK economy, and it’s simply not right that many ambitious founders with incredible ideas see their small businesses fail largely due to an archaic and confusing experience to buying simple things like insurance and energy tariffs, to making a website and managing social media, often paying too much for services and products that aren’t right for them.”

The UK is home to nearly 5.3 million small businesses employing between 0-9 people, 75% of which purchase business products and services. Miah and Uddin, who have been involved in the growth of dozens of tech companies and brands, saw first-hand that the market didn’t cater for the specific needs of the UK small business community. They recognised the opportunity to provide a service that would directly meet the needs of modern businesses in the digital era.

“As founders ourselves, we know what it takes to grow a business from the ground up, and the pain points that exist along the way”, added Uddin. “Buying business products and services causes stress and confusion for so many founders, so Beasy exists to help unlock the next generation of British business by becoming the easiest way for small businesses to turbo-charge their business ambitions. As a first-of-its-kind platform, we see ourselves as the business owner’s best friend, and by supporting the small business community directly we hope to play our part in powering the British economy forwards.”

Beasy is currently giving small businesses and startups the chance to win free branding or a brand makeover worth £20,000. With entries open until 31st December 2023, successful applicants will work directly with an award-winning branding agency who will develop and craft your brand - including its purpose, core messaging, values, logo design, colours, typography, tone of voice and more.

Beasy’s Pre-Seed funding round is currently open, with the business looking to close the round before the end of 2023.
