BE100 fund to back climate and impact startups as finalists pitch for £1 million pool
Blue Earth Ventures has announced the 2025 BE100 Winners, selected in a live pitch finale at Blue Earth Summit in London. Three ventures were chosen by audience vote from a finalist cohort of six category-leading start-ups, each tackling urgent global challenges in water, energy, and construction.
The BE100 Fund, launched earlier this year, has now raised over £600,000, exceeding its initial target. It remains open for investment until 30 November 2025, aiming to hit £1 million. If the target is reached, all six finalists, not just the winners, will receive investment.
2025 Winners (Investment Confirmed):
• Segura – clean water testing at scale. Founder: José Castro
• RAFT Energy – waste-to-energy optimisation. Founder: Alex van Klaveren
• Low Carbon Materials – carbon-negative construction materials. Founder: Natasha Boulding
Finalists still in line for funding:
• Roam – modular micromobility. Founder: Filip Lövström
• Kondor – sustainable insulation innovation. Founder: Tim Highfield
• MarinaTex – plastic alternatives from seaweed. Founder: Craig Sterling
Guy Hayler, Co-Founder of Blue Earth Ventures, said: “This year’s finalists represent some of the most exciting early stage ventures we’ve ever seen. They’re solving critical problems with commercial ambition. We want to back all six, and if the fund hits £1m, we will.”
The BE100 platform has supported over 55 ventures, helping raise £155 million in follow-on funding and catalysing hundreds of commercial partnerships.
