Winners of the HiPEAC Technology Transfer Award 2023 announced

These awards celebrate academia-developed innovations that are primed for industrial application. The award ceremony will take place at the HiPEAC conference in Munich January 2024. New awardees will also receive a €1,000 cash prize.

Koen De Bosschere, HiPEAC coordinator from Ghent University, highlighted the significance of the awards: “There is huge potential for disruptive innovations within the HiPEAC community. These awards are aimed at inspiring others with exceptional results that have made the leap out of the lab. By transferring their research to industry, these HiPEAC members have ensured that their work has a tangible impact on society.”

Initiated in 2012, the HiPEAC Technology Transfer Awards motivate members to convert their research into industry-ready outcomes. Tech transfer is demonstrated through activities such as technology licensing, offering dedicated services to existing companies, creating new companies, or developing marketable solutions tailored to specific company needs.
