Noro at ISE 2026

At ISE 2026, Managing Editor Paige Hookway spoke with Didier Perrot, Co-Founder of Noro.

Noro is an immersive video conferencing and collaboration solution designed to make distributed and hybrid teams feel as if they are working together in the same physical space.

Noro provides large, true-to-life ‘portals’ where remote participants appear at full, real-world scale. The screens start from floor level to enhance presence, and the cameras are very small and embedded within the field of view so that when users look at each other, the eye contact appears natural. The system aims to replicate the feeling of being in the same room, going beyond traditional ‘talking head’ video calls.

Audio quality is emphasised alongside visual immersion, ensuring clear sound to support realistic interaction. Importantly, Noro separates human connection from content: brainstorming and conversation happen on the large immersive display, while collaboration tools – such as digital whiteboarding, screen sharing, and co-editing documents – are placed on a separate device. This avoids placing digital content ‘between’ people and maintains the sense of shared physical presence.
