Moodsonic at ISE 2026
At ISE 2026, Managing Editor Paige Hookway caught up with Evan Benway, Co-founder and CEO of Moodsonic to discuss the launch of their new platform and products.
UK-based company Moodsonic focuses on solving noise and sound problems in built environments such as offices, hospitals, schools, and universities. The company emerged from Benway’s experience at a large California sound firm, where he struggled with distractions in open‑plan offices and saw the need for a better acoustic solution.
The dynamic, building‑wide “sound layer” platform generates sound in real time rather than playing recorded loops or music. It allows different zones within a building to have tailored soundscapes designed for specific purposes, such as focused work or collaboration. It often uses nature‑based, biophilic sounds that support wellbeing. Users can interact with the system to choose or adjust soundscapes, control elements like birdsong, and increase speech masking to improve privacy and reduce distraction.
