HCR Hewitsons launches Impact55 support programme for impact startups
A new startup support programme has been launched, targeting businesses in Cambridgeshire. The programme will award £25,000 worth of legal advice to the business deemed to have the most significant impact.
Additionally, up to three runners-up will each receive £10,000 in legal support.
Impact55 is aimed at early-stage businesses leveraging technology to drive positive social or environmental change. To apply, businesses need to fill out a brief online application and submit a video showcasing their impact.
HCR Hewitsons, a firm deeply rooted in Cambridgeshire with over 170 years of history in the region, is leading this initiative. The firm is well-versed in advising scaling businesses on various aspects of growth, including funding and investment.
Inger Anson, Corporate Partner leading the firm’s early-stage deals practice, said: “I really enjoy working with high growth businesses and supporting them to achieve their potential, throughout their business journey. At HCR Hewitsons, we have a clear commitment to making our own positive impact and part of this includes supporting the wider Cambridgeshire business community. We hope that the launch of Impact55 will allow successful applicants to move their business forward. Along with funded legal advice to help with their current business needs, they will be able to take advantage of our experience and have HCR Hewitsons as part of their wider team.”
