Definely unveils Vault: AI-driven knowledge tool for legal teams
Definely, a legaltech startup, has unveiled Definely Vault, an AI-driven knowledge management tool poised to revolutionise how legal professionals tap into and utilise their firm's collective wisdom.
Definely Vault integrates effortlessly with law firms' existing document management systems, allowing lawyers to search and draw from their entire knowledge base directly within Microsoft Word. The platform offers several key features:
Comprehensive Knowledge Access: Quickly locate relevant precedents and clauses across the firm’s entire repository.
AI-Driven Insights: Ensure contract consistency with intelligent, context-aware recommendations.
Efficient Contract Drafting: Instantly insert top-tier precedents or clauses with a single click, streamlining the drafting process.
At the core of Vault lies its advanced Semantic Search function, which provides contextually precise results, prioritised by their relevance to the specific clause or provision being edited. The system is optimised for speed, delivering search results in 3-4 seconds, even within extensive libraries containing up to 250,000 documents.
Nnamdi Emelifeonwu, CEO of Definely, commented: "We’re viewing Definely Vault as more than a product launch. This is a major step in our ability to challenge how legal professionals interact with their organisation's collective knowledge. Vault will equip lawyers with technology that significantly enhances efficiency and accuracy. By enabling instant access to relevant clauses and definitions, in tandem with our Semantic Search capability, we're helping legal teams work smarter and faster while maintaining the highest standards of consistency across their contracts. This is just the beginning of what we have planned in our innovation roadmap."
Definely Vault offers flexible document labelling options, including manual labelling by end-users and administrators, as well as automatic extraction of custom fields from integrated document management systems. An AI-powered automatic labelling feature is slated for later release, further streamlining the document classification process.
Looking ahead, Definely plans to introduce additional features to Vault, including workflow management for tracking approvals and escalations, and firm precedent analytics to monitor clause and document usage across the organisation's knowledge bank.
