Joy Foster, is the founder of TechPixies, the multi-award-winning social enterprise established in 2016 dedicated to empowering women through online training. Since its inception, TechPixies have been committed to providing life coaching, social media coaching, and business coaching, empowering women across the UK to acquire the skills and confidence necessary to thrive in the digital age. With a mission to upskill women with social media, TechPixies has kick-started 14,000 women on their journey, equipping them to pursue fulfilling careers or launch their businesses.
In 2023, Joy was awarded the Women's Champion Award from Digital Women and received the Outstanding Impact Coach of the Year award from the Brave Thinking Institute. In 2022, she won the Entrepreneur Award at the FDM everywoman in Technology Awards. In 2020, Joy was selected as the Editor's Choice for the WeAreTheCity Rising Star Awards and won the Digital Course of the Year. In 2018, she was honoured with the Start-up Director of the Year award for London and the South, distinguishing herself as the sole female finalist at the national level. Additionally, she was recognised as the 2018 Women in Business Start-up of the Year. In 2017, Joy won the Enterprise Nation Female Start-up of the Year award. Joy has also been featured multiple times in Computer Weekly's longlist for the Most Influential Women in Tech.
TechPixies is a well-established social enterprise which has won several awards from UnLtd, Social Enterprise UK, Pioneers Post and NatWest’s WISE 100 (Women of Inspiration in Social Enterprise). Since its inception, it has provided over £300k worth of scholarships to women from lower socioeconomic background, as well as those who are BAME, LGBTQ+, and 60+.
Joy Foster is a mother of two, married to Tim Foster MBE, an Olympic gold medallist in rowing for Team GB. Joy was a member of the US Archery Team from 2004 to 2007 and has participated in various marathons and Ironman competitions. The Fosters live in Oxford, England.
