wellness brand focused on the female hormonal journey secures funding

The SABI has successfully closed its pre-seed investment round, securing €150,000 from a group of industry focused  investors. The company's pre-seed valuation of €1.3 million, reflecting strong investor confidence in the company's growth potential.

The round successfully oversubscribed, reflecting strong investor interest in the company's mission to address mental and physical health with the self-care products, information and community needed to navigate the toughest moments in the female hormonal journey.

The pre-seed round included participation from several angel investors with industry experience from beauty, healthcare and retail including L’Oreal Luxury Division, Danish global healthcare provider Novo Nordisk and US highstreet retailer Bergdorf Goodman. The SABI will use the funding to test, build and iterate, and will soon launch a bridge round to raise a further €250,000 for product and market roll-out.

"We are thrilled to have the support of such a strong group of investors who share our vision for empowering women through the hormonal journey: from tough periods to conception, postpartum and (peri)menopause," said Anna Cave-Bigley, Co-Founder and COO of The SABI. "This funding will allow us to further develop our innovative products and community. Hormonal crisis is not only a hot topic but is a growing market with a significant need to better support women during a crisis moment. No-one currently addresses women’s life stages holistically, and we aim to position The SABI in that market space.

Hilary Metcalfe, Co-Founder and CEO, says, “The SABI tackles the mental and physical challenges women face due to hormonal imbalance across various life stages. With over 18 million women in Europe meeting the target criteria, there is a €2.9bn annual revenue opportunity in this space. Our solution is three-fold: all-natural self-care products to support daily rituals; closing knowledge gaps for better preparation and support with articles, content and courses; and providing a safe space to explore taboo topics with medical experts and the shared experiences of women who have been there before, creating trust & tribe.”

The SABI was founded in 2022, and its products include holistic skincare and powerful herbal infusions to support the rebalancing of the body through periods of hormonal imbalance and burnout. The products are medically vetted and approved by an ObGyn, Dermatologist and Microbiologist and free from any chemicals, preservatives or endocrine disruptors that negatively impact hormonal balance. The SABI’s operational and advisory team is drawn from health tech, luxury consumer goods and industry-leaders in wellness and beauty including L’Oreal and an e-commerce specialist from Sisley Paris.
