Vouch raises headcount by 46% in six months
Referencing service provider Vouch has increased their workforce by 46% in the last six months, despite uncertainty within the sector triggered by the pandemic. The company now employs 35 people, up from 24 back in March, with the new hires ranging from technology development to referencing and sales.
Based in Sheffield, Vouch was founded in 2017 by Simon and Jaime Tillyer, former letting agents with over 15 years experience. Vouch digitises referencing; enabling users to move away from slow, outdated processes and instead embrace a simple online model that cuts costs by around 65%, as well as providing opportunities to earn commission-based revenue.
Vouch joined the Goodlord family in July 2020, becoming part of the Goodlord group. The group aims to offer its combined 2,500+ clients throughout the UK a wider choice of software offerings and access to a sector-leading end-to-end platform.
Simon Tillyer, Director of Vouch, commented: “We are thrilled to have continued to grow so significantly over the past six months. We’ve undoubtedly faced numerous challenges as the lettings and rental industry continues to adapt, but I’m incredibly confident that our talented team can meet the needs of our clients and also manage any future challenges that may come our way.
“Our sustained success over this period couldn’t have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our workforce, and we remain proud to retain the fact that we’re staffed entirely by people from Sheffield".
The continued expansion of the Vouch team follows the company’s announcement in June earlier this year that the startup recorded a 78% increase in reference volumes compared to 2020, on top of a 62% increase in customers overall.
