viAct secures $7.3M series A funding

viAct, an AI-powered impact monitoring platform, has successfully closed a $7.3 million Series A funding round.

The round was led by Dublin-based private equity firm VentureWave Capital, with participation from Singtel Innov8, the corporate venture arm of Asia’s communications technology group Singtel, Korean Investment Partners, and The PolyU Entrepreneurship Investment Fund.

This funding represents a significant milestone in the global shift toward responsible AI investment in high-risk industries like construction. Unlike conventional funding rounds that focus purely on business growth, viAct's investment signals a new era of AI-driven impact, emphasising safety, sustainability, and workforce wellbeing for risk-prone heavy industries, construction and alike.

For decades, construction and heavy industries have played a dangerous game of wait-and-react, fixing safety issues only after disaster strikes. viAct is flipping the script with AI-powered monitoring that stops accidents before they happen. With real-time risk detection, compliance automation, and operational intelligence, viAct isn’t just improving safety; it’s making worksites smarter and future-proof. By embedding AI into the heart of industrial safety, viAct is turning chaos into control and raising the bar for ESG-driven impact.

Since its inception in 2016, viAct has pioneered a holistic AI-powered safety ecosystem that goes beyond conventional site surveillance. By integrating computer vision, IoT, Edge AI, and Generative AI, viAct delivers unparalleled impact in workplace safety and ESG considerations. The recent upgradation of LLM-powered AI agents to its ecosystem enables predictive safety analytics, automated risk detection, and compliance monitoring across construction, oil and gas, mining, logistics, facility management, and manufacturing. This investment will amplify viAct’s impact across three key dimensions:

  • AI innovation for safer and sustainable jobsites – viAct will advance AI models to enhance hazard prediction, environmental compliance, and workforce safety, ensuring that construction sites become safer and sustainable with a sync
  • Scaling global safety impact – with a strategic focus on Saudi Arabia and the broader Middle East, viAct will expand its AI-driven safety solutions in regions where rapid industrialisation is increasing the demand for proactive risk management. By working closely with regional partners and regulators, viAct aims to redefine global safety benchmarks
  • Investing in purpose-driven talent – viAct will attract top-tier experts in AI, engineering, and sustainability, fostering a mission-driven culture dedicated to creating safer and smarter industrial environments

Thus, this investment fuels viAct’s broader mission: to create a world where critical workplaces are not just monitored but meaningfully connected, fostering better governance and accountability.

As governments and industry bodies tighten safety mandates, viAct’s AI-powered ecosystem acts as the missing link between regulatory frameworks and real-world site execution. From risk detection to compliance automation, viAct ensures that worker safety, environmental sustainability, and operational efficiency are not just policy ambitions but on-site realities. This funding is more than just capital; it is rather a catalyst for redefining construction safety standards, embedding AI into every layer of site monitoring, risk mitigation, and workforce protection.

In this context, both Gary Ng and Hugo Cheuk emphasise viAct’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of AI, with a strong focus on empowering stakeholders to drive critical impact to the society.

"We envision a future where construction is synonymous with innovation, safety, and sustainability," said Gary Ng, Co-Founder and CEO of viAct. "This funding is not just a financial milestone – it is a catalyst for change. Our goal is to redefine industry standards, positioning viAct at the forefront of this transformation. With our cutting-edge AI solutions, we aim to empower every stakeholder to achieve unprecedented levels of efficiency and responsibility."

Not limiting itself to construction, in the cosmopolitan when industries are embracing automations for an improved operation, viAct’s innovation has been becoming indispensable for contractors, manufacturers, and enterprise leaders worldwide. More than just an AI solution, viAct has become the flag bearer of the movement towards smarter, safer, and more sustainable industrial practices on a global scale.

Echoing this vision, Hugo Cheuk, Co-Founder and COO of viAct, stated: "As we expand into new markets, our commitment to leveraging AI for smarter safety practices has never been stronger. This investment allows us to enhance our technology and further our mission of creating a safer, more sustainable work environment."

“Singtel Innov8 is proud to support viAct in its mission to enhance workplace safety for frontline workers,” said Sharan Makhija, Senior Director – Investments of Singtel Innov8. “viAct’s AI-powered platform can leverage 5G networks to enable real-time monitoring, instant alerts, and data-driven insights. By integrating AI with 5G connectivity, viAct enhances operational efficiency, ensures proactive hazard detection, and helps create safer, more responsive work environments.”
