Tramshed Tech will manage and deliver two programmes specialising in GreenTech and CreativeTech which will run between October 2023 and March 2024. Both programmes centre around innovation and business growth – key areas identified as crucial to the success of the digital economy as per the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology's report on Regional Digital Ecosystems.      

In addition, these programmes align with the Welsh Government's Innovation Strategy and recent report which outlines the mission of moving Wales to a low carbon, innovation-led economy –  Wales innovates: creating a stronger, fairer, greener Wales. The programmes will teach green skills supporting quality jobs and innovation with a focus on commercialisation and international partnerships as well as renewable energy and the creative sector.

Delivery partner for both these programmes is M-SParc – the North Wales-based tech hub, with whom Tramshed Tech already has a formal partnership.

“The Digital Growth Grant will enable Tramshed Tech's Greentech Accelerator Programme to equip these entrepreneurs with vital training, networking, and funding, setting the stage for a sustainable and innovative future."    

The EPP Project for Wales will consist of two programmes:

1. The Greentech Accelerator, a 12-week programme that aims to supercharge the growth and impact of environmentally-focused businesses that have the potential to contribute to a more sustainable future pan-Wales. This programme will provide selected businesses with training, expert advice, network support, with access to funding, covering key aspects of developing GreenTech solutions, from delivery partners MSparc and supporting partners, including DST Innovations and Gower College Swansea.

2: The Convergent Content Programme connects tech and creative industries, to explore new ways of creating content, connecting with new audiences, and expanding content distribution. Through a range of workshops and events, this programme is committed to diversity and inclusion, making the metaverse accessible to more people and fostering collaboration.

Delivery partners for this programme are M-SParc  and the Centre for the Creative Economy at Cardiff University – a leading Centre creating sustainable and equitable growth in the creative economy through innovation, research, and engagement. The Centre’s three flagship programmes of activity are Creative Cardiff, Clwstwr and Media Cymru.
