During the ceremony, Arda Kutsal was presented with a glass tablet and signed the welcome book.

Following the open ceremony, the final day of Tech.eu Summit London 2024 commenced at 9 am. The day featured a variety of panels and presentations addressing important subjects and pressing issues within the European technology sector. The Tech.eu Summit, held from 16th-17th May at the Old Billingsgate in London, welcomed over 1,200 participants and 120 speakers, including startup founders, venture capital leaders, corporate tech innovators, policymakers, and technology journalists. The first day of the Tech.eu Summit London 2024 featured a talk by the UK Minister for Tech and Digital Economy, Saqib Bhatti, who highlighted the country’s support for the technology and startup ecosystem. Turkiye’s Minister for Tech and Industry, Mehmet Fatih Kacır, also spoke on the first day of the event, outlining his belief that technology and startups have the potential to boost inclusivity and access to education, as well as help solve major societal issues through innovative solutions. The two ministers also held bilateral meetings during the conference.

Founders had the opportunity to present their solutions and engage directly with potential investors at the Startup Stage. Attendees also participated in panel discussions at the Roundtable Stage.

The Tech.eu Summit has been running since 2013 and has been hosted successfully in Brussels for the past two years. The 2024 event marked the first year it was hosted in London. The annual event has continuously brought experts, industry leaders, and startups together for an in-depth look into the technology sector and its latest trends.

The UK technology sector was ranked the best in Europe and third in the world at the end of 2022, reaching a combined market value of £793.8 billion ($1 trillion). Additionally, the UK tech workforce has expanded to over three million people, with global companies training a new generation of talent. These statistics demonstrate the size and scalability of the technology sector within the UK. By moving its conference to London, Tech.eu aimed to bring a major event uniting the technology ecosystem in the world’s capital of tech.
