South Summit will once again unite startups, corporations, and investors to foster high-value connections and business opportunities, as well as reveal key trends in the ecosystem.

The Startup Competition at South Summit is synonymous with visibility and success. Since its inception, over 1,000 startups worldwide have participated, boasting a remarkable 90% survival rate. These startups have collectively attracted over $14.6 billion in investment, generated more than $10 billion in revenue, created nearly 50,000 jobs, and achieved over 100 exits. Notably, seven of these startups have attained unicorn status, including Cabify, Factorial, and JobandTalent.

The theme for South Summit Madrid 2024 is 'Human by Design', aiming to address crucial questions posed by technology while keeping human welfare at the forefront of all innovations and decisions. This approach ensures that technological advancements are dedicated to improving people’s lives.

The 2023 edition of South Summit Madrid witnessed approximately 20,000 attendees, including 6,500 entrepreneurs, 2,000 investors with a combined investment portfolio exceeding $326 billion, and 650 top-tier speakers. Over the course of the event, more than 175,000 valuable connections were established.

South Summit Madrid enjoys the institutional support of the Secretary of State for Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence, the Community of Madrid, and the Madrid City Council.

Additionally, South Summit extends its influence to Latin America with South Summit Brazil. In its second edition, held in Porto Alegre in March of this year and co-organized by IE University and the Government of Rio Grande do Sul, the event attracted over 22,000 attendees, including more than 3,000 entrepreneurs and representatives from 100 investment funds with a portfolio of $123 billion. South Summit Brazil is set to take place from the 20th to the 22nd of March 2024, with its competition open until the 20th of December.
