South Summit brings together leading unicorns and investment funds in London to strengthen connections in the European ecosystem

South Summit, in collaboration with IE University, is organizing a new edition of the ‘Scaleup Series’ in London on February 27. This series of events aims to strengthen connections among leading European scaleup entrepreneurs and founders, create a space to share best practices, trends, and insights, and explore business, investment, and economic growth opportunities.

After passing through Brussels and Milan, the third meeting of this new edition will be held at the Dawn Capital headquarters in London, starting at 5:30pm. After the institutional welcome by Liz Fleming, Chief Ecosystem Officer of South Summit; Juan José Güemes, Vice President of IE University and President of the IE Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation; and Henry Mason, a partner at Dawn Capital, there will be a panel on scaleups in which the heads of two prominent international unicorns will participate:

  • JC Glancy, founder of ZenBusiness. A one-stop platform that helps small business owners with formation, compliance, banking, bookkeeping, and marketing. Combining technology with live support, it offers expert guidance and resources to simplify entrepreneurship. As a Public Benefit Corporation, ZenBusiness is committed to social impact, providing grants and partnerships to support diverse entrepreneurs.
  • Dan Wagner, founder and CEO of Rezolve AI, a company that transforms online shopping with its advanced Generative AI solutions—BrainCommerce, BrainCheckout, and BrainAssistant—designed specifically for retail and eCommerce. Its proprietary LLM eliminates model drift and hallucinations, ensuring secure, reliable, and personalised customer experiences. Through BRAiN Conversational AI, Rezolve AI helps businesses enhance engagement and streamline the shopping journey.

On behalf of investment funds, the following will participate:

  • Nic Gorini, partner at Spin Ventures, an early-stage VC firm dedicated to accelerating the transition to a circular and regenerative economy in the Consumer & Retail sectors. By investing in scalable and profitable solutions, it helps businesses enhance efficiency, drive revenue, and decarbonise supply chains. Through The House of Circularity, Spin Ventures connects climate tech founders, investors, and corporate leaders to scale innovations like "waste-to-value" models, turning end-of-life materials into valuable resources.
  • Henry Mason, partner at Dawn Capital. Europe’s leading specialist B2B software investor with $2bn in total commitments. Focusing on early-stage investments, primarily in Series A and B, Dawn partners with founders to build the next generation of global software leaders. Dawn's portfolio includes notable successes such as Mimecast, iZettle, Tink, and LeanIX, along with current leaders like Collibra, Dataiku, and Quantexa.
  • Susan Lin, partner and investor at Felix Capital. A venture capital firm focused on the creative class, operating at the intersection of technology and creativity. Specializing in digital lifestyle, they invest in consumer brands and enabling technologies. Based in London, with operations across Europe and the US, they manage over $1.2bn and have a portfolio of around 50 companies.

Additionally, prominent figures from the European technology and entrepreneurial ecosystem will round out the program for this Scaleup Series meeting, held in collaboration with Dawn Capital.

They are Sean Seton-Rogers, partner at PROfounders; Donatella Callegaris, CEO of BBVA Spark; Remus Radvan, Investment Director at Wayra UK; and Constanza Castro Feijóo, Head of London at Endeavor Global. Their panel, 'Minds in Motion: Partnerships to Scale,' will highlight the importance of collaboration between corporations, investors, and institutions in scaling startups. They will share their experiences and insights on how strategic alliances can drive growth and innovation in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Among the highlights of the 'Scaleup Series' event in Milan is the session 'Fueling the Fire: Investment Insights', which will analyse the best investment opportunities in Spain and the United Kingdom.

'Scaleup Series' will continue in Oslo (March 19) and Berlin (March 20). After this roadshow, all the talent, with its protagonists from the global ecosystem, will converge in Madrid between June 4 and 6, in the 14th edition of South Summit, a benchmark for the global entrepreneurial and innovative ecosystem.

This second edition seeks to repeat the success of the first edition in 2024, the year in which South Summit held these meetings in London, Milan, Paris, Munich and Lisbon.
