South Summit Brazil 2024, the leading meeting of the entrepreneurial ecosystem co-organized by IE University and the Government of Rio Grande do Sul, will hold its third edition from March 20 to 22 in the city of Porto Alegre.

#SouthSummitBrazil24 is expected to bring together more than 140 funds and 1,000 international investors, along with top-level speakers such as: Uri Levine, co-founder of Waze and Moovit; Paula Ganem, regional head of capital markets for Canada and Latin America at the New York Stock Exchange; Jeff Hoffman, co-founder of Booking and uBid, and Luana Ozemela, vice president of social impact at iFood. All of them will share their ideas and visions on the evolution of the global entrepreneurial ecosystem and their opinions on the latest trends and advances in innovation. "Decoding Complexity", the motto of this third edition of South Summit Brazil 24, invites us to simplify the complexity of an increasingly interconnected world with increasingly accelerated changes.

During the meeting, the winning startup of the Startup Competition will be announced from the 50 finalist startups, from 15 different countries and selected from more than 2,000 candidates. These include Barcelona-based startup Mitiga Solutions, which combines climate science, AI and high-performance computing to help its clients measure climate-related risks.

MarĂa Benjumea, founder and president of South Summit, highlighted that "in this new edition of South Summit in Brazil we want to reinforce our commitment to the generation of real business opportunities and valuable connections between all the actors in the ecosystem that will visit us in Porto Alegre. South Summit Brazil has already established itself as the main meeting that connects innovators and entrepreneurs from Brazil and the rest of Latin America with the rest of the world and I am sure that this new edition will once again be a success, thanks to the work of the entire great family that makes up South Summit".

The previous edition of South Summit Brazil brought together more than 22,000 attendees, 3,000 entrepreneurs, 900 speakers and more than a hundred investment funds (30 of them international), as well as 600 investors with a portfolio of $123 billion and 19,000 million destined for investment in the Latin American entrepreneurial ecosystem.
