South Summit and Genyus School to Promote Children's Entrepreneurship Through the South Summit Kids Competition

South Summit, the global platform that brings together all the players in the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem at a global level, and Genyus School, the pioneering company and methodology in entrepreneurial education for children and young people, have formed an alliance to promote children’s entrepreneurship through the South Summit Kids Competition.

The aim of this competition is to encourage entrepreneurial thinking from an early age and to highlight the innovative talent of projects developed by children and educational centres across Spain. The South Summit Kids Competition will take place during the next edition of South Summit Madrid, from June 4 to 6 in La Nave. Genyus School will be responsible for designing and running the event, as well as training and coordinating the participating students and schools.

Conceived as both an educational and creative experience, South Summit Kids Competition will be held on June 6 and will invite children to represent their schools with their own innovative projects. In addition to encouraging creativity, entrepreneurship, and collaboration, the initiative promotes a mindset focused on solving real-world problems through sustainable and cooperative solutions.

The event organised by Genyus School will also include three-minute elevator pitches where participants will learn how to present their entrepreneurial projects. There will also be TED-style talks and roundtable discussions where children can debate their ideas. All of this will help the participating students learn to think critically, develop their own ideas and projects, and present and defend them in front of a jury. In this way, Genyus School and South Summit will create a dynamic and enriching learning space for all attendees and participants.

At the presentation ceremony of the South Summit Kids Competition held today in Madrid, María Benjumea, president and founder of South Summit, stressed that "entrepreneurship is a range that involves everyone: startups, public administrations, companies... and also the education sector and children, who must be the seed of entrepreneurship." In addition, he also thanked that with this agreement "South Summit can act as a catalyst to promote entrepreneurship education" and "encourage the little ones to have innovative ideas and to be able to find solutions for themselves to any problem".

For his part, Pedro Carrillo, CEO and founder of Genyus School, has valued the importance of collaboration between both organisations by pointing out that "educating children in entrepreneurship today is the greatest engine of socioeconomic development tomorrow". In addition, Carrillo also revealed that the objective of this agreement is "to create a space of fun and excitement for children to learn to be entrepreneurs and generate positive experiences, as well as meaningful learning".

With this initiative, South Summit reinforces its commitment to the generation of opportunities and the training of younger entrepreneurial talent, as well as to the commitment to integration of entrepreneurial education into personal and academic development from an early stage. For its part, Genyus School consolidates its leadership as a benchmark in the teaching of entrepreneurship for children and young people.
