Sage gives every accountant a free AI assistant
Sage has announced that it will offer one free Sage Copilot licence per practice. The move is designed to help accountants and bookkeepers embrace the new era of AI accounting with greater confidence and less risk.
As AI becomes embedded in practice management and regulatory changes like Making Tax Digital for Income Tax Self-Assessment (MTD for ITSA) take effect, accountants and bookkeepers are facing a dual challenge – rising complexity and growing client expectations. To meet this moment, Sage Copilot is seamlessly integrated into Sage for Accountants, supporting firms by handling repetitive work, managing compliance, and delivering real-time insights across every client engagement. This enables accountants to free up time and focus on growing their practice.
"With Sage Copilot, we’re defining what AI in accounting should look like,” said Karen Ainley, SVP of Accountants at Sage. “Accountants are at a pivotal point, AI is reshaping the profession and practices, and now’s the time for them to move into more strategic, future-ready roles.”
Key features driving the future of accounting:
- AI-driven compliance & automation – from instant transaction categorisation to seamless VAT and tax filings, Sage Copilot ensures accuracy, efficiency and effortless compliance with ever-changing regulations
- Real-time financial insights – AI-powered forecasting, risk analysis and predictive cash flow management help accountants deliver proactive guidance to clients, reducing financial uncertainty
- Unlocking advisory potential – by eliminating administrative burdens, Sage Copilot empowers accountants to focus on strategic growth planning, funding strategies and business performance optimisation
Greater end to end capabilities
As part of Sage’s mission to simplify the accounting journey, it is enhancing Sage for Accountants with new capabilities that connect every part of the workflow. This includes the addition of Futrli, now fully integrated into the platform, which enables practices to generate accurate cash flow forecasts, automate scenario planning, and deliver strategic insights at scale.
By bringing together Sage Copilot, AutoEntry, GoProposal and now Futrli, Sage is helping firms move efficiently from task to insight, and from insight to action, all in one place.
“We’ve already started using Sage Copilot in our firm, and it’s been a game changer,” said Jordan Smith, Operations Director, A G Smith & Co. “But it’s not just the AI features – it’s how everything connects within Sage for Accountants that is saving us so much time and hassle. From onboarding clients with GoProposal to delivering forecasts through Futrli, Sage has helped us streamline the full journey. It’s all helping us move faster and deliver more value to our clients.”
Sage continues to invest in building the connected accounting platform of the future, giving every firm the tools to grow with confidence.
