Robin AI Brings the Power of Generative AI to its Legal Assistant with AWS
Robin AI, a legal artificial intelligence (AI) assistant for businesses, has teamed up with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to streamline complex legal processes and advance the development of a significant new AI-driven legal market.
Through this partnership, Robin AI is integrating new generative AI capabilities into its platform, relying exclusively on Amazon Bedrock and Amazon SageMaker to power its AI models. Additionally, Robin AI’s offerings are now available on the AWS Marketplace, a digital catalog featuring thousands of software solutions from various vendors, making it easy for customers to discover, test, purchase, and deploy software compatible with AWS.
By using Amazon Bedrock, Robin AI can securely scale generative AI applications with Anthropic’s Claude models while ensuring complete privacy for customer data – an essential factor in overcoming legal teams’ reluctance to embrace AI solutions. Amazon SageMaker further supports Robin AI’s mission by accelerating the development, training, and deployment of its machine learning models. By listing on the AWS Marketplace, Robin AI provides in-house legal teams and law firms with easier access to its tools, allowing them to save time and reduce costs while focusing highly paid legal professionals on tasks that truly require human expertise.
“Thanks to AWS, we don’t have to compromise between powerful and safe AI – our customers can have both,” said James Clough, co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Robin AI. “Amazon Bedrock allows us to make a reliable global commitment: with Robin, customers get access to top-tier AI models, such as Anthropic Claude Sonnet 3.5, while knowing their data is secure. Amazon SageMaker enables us to embed generative AI directly into our product, accelerating new feature development and differentiating us from legacy legal tech companies.”
Robin AI’s legal assistant offers more advanced capabilities than those provided by a standard Large Language Model (LLM), thanks to proprietary AI models trained on over 100 million contract clauses—data that is typically unavailable to public LLMs. Leveraging AWS’s regional data storage capabilities, Robin AI can swiftly develop tailored versions of its products for various markets, including the U.S., U.K., and EU, while ensuring that customer data remains securely stored in compliance with local data protection laws.
“AWS supports organizations of all sizes, from startups to enterprises, in innovating with generative AI. With enterprise-grade security, privacy, cost-effectiveness, and access to industry-leading models, AWS services empower customers to achieve transformative productivity and insights,” said Baskar Sridharan, Vice President of AI and Infrastructure at AWS. “It’s inspiring to see how Robin AI is applying generative AI to revolutionize contract review, allowing legal teams to concentrate on their most critical work. We’re excited about how Robin AI leverages Amazon SageMaker and Amazon Bedrock to build, train, deploy, and scale their generative AI-powered legal assistant, driving their mission to transform the way legal work is done.”
