With more than 500 members in our online community, and more joining every week, we’re proud to give artists a place to list and sell their work easily - with 0% commission fees - which traditionally are between 30-50% of what buyers pay. 

Birmingham Artist, General Blimey, who has saved more than £1k in fees by selling on the platform, said “I'm pretty unorganised so Cosimo helps keep me in order with sales & also gives me a place to easily manage them from - which I probably wouldn't have done if it wasn't so easy to use.”

I started Cosimo after working in commercial galleries and seeing the effects that traditional fees had on both artists and collectors. To know we’re able to make a difference in our artists' lives - particularly in the context of the cost of living criris - is a really powerful thing. We ultimately want to fill the world with art, and make both being an artist and buying art more accessible and affordable for everyone.

The next few months promises to be an exciting period in Cosimo’s growth, with community continuing to expand rapidly as we head into our first fundraising round later in the year.

Cosimo is an online marketplace and platform which empowers emerging artists to sell their work directly to collectors, without commission fees - so they can turn what they love into what they do. 

Founded by myself, a University of Birmingham Art History graduate, I was frustrated by my experiences working in the commercial gallery sector, and especially the impact of high commission fees on both artists and their collectors. Cosimo is on a mission to make art more transparent, accessible, and affordable for all.
