The meta daisies ignite rock in the metaverse

Metaverse rock band The Meta Daisies has released its debut single and accompanying meta-cinematic ‘Radiance’, propelling the music industry forward into a new virtual era. Imagine your favourite rock stars from the past being reborn, bringing that epic music and energy to a new generation - this is The Meta Daisies. 

With real rock provenance - The Meta Daisies is the digital offspring of rock collective The Dead Daisies - a global phenomenon comprised of rock legends from Deep Purple, Whitesnake and Dio. The Dead Daisies are always ahead of the curve, and with their label and management Spitfire Music and metaverse experts Kelly Vero and Dimoso, they used the global lockdown to fire up a strategy that would bring their music to generations to come.

By launching The Meta Daisies, the band is building on its legacy while connecting with fans of past, present and future - reimagining the world of The Dead Daisies for Gen Z.

The first sight of the band comes in the shape of the ‘Radiance’ meta-cinematic. Brought to life by trailblazing innovative games industry experts Altergaze, creators of HoverGrease and early pioneers in the VR & XR space, the meta-cinematic gives a glimpse into the home of The Meta Daisies in the metaverse - Daisyland. In this parallel universe, we meet Daisy, the shape-shifting, time travelling, half human half supernatural, guardian of The Meta Daisies, who is on a mission to keep rock alive. Fans can experience the first taste of Daisyland with a listening party in Daisy’s rocking music venue inside the Avakin Life metaverse from June 9th to June 16th. Metaverse agnostic, The Meta Daisies will traverse the digital world, with plans to bring their music to multiple platforms in the future, starting with Avakin Life.

The established mobile metaverse - who are also set to become a major force in the Web3 space - is a key destination for artists looking for new audiences, with close to 10million users logging in every month.

The Meta Daisies were born from the opportunities metaverse platforms offer, and the accessibility that they afford to deliver new music to rock fans. The driving force behind this project are, David Lowy, The Dead Daisies guitarist and renowned Australian financial magnate, along with David Edwards the creative brains behind Spitfire Music Pty Ltd.

They assembled an expert team to handle each facet of the creative process, including  Liviu Antoni of Altergaze (HoverGrease, League of Legends, The War of The Worlds) and metaverse experts Dimoso (Harry Potter, Clash of Kings, Marvel, Warner, Angry Birds). Along with this, key consultants were partnered with to bring the vision to life, including Thomas Lee (Madison Beers avatar, Final Fantasy IX) and Kelly Vero (Tomb Raider, Transformers). 

The Meta Daisies encapsulates the very best of rock, preserving that legacy for the future and introducing their music to a new global audience of all ages.
