The latest advances in Industry 4.0, Energy Transition and Mobility, protagonists in the third edition of South Summit Industry & Energy.
The third edition of South Summit Industry & Energy, co-organised by South Summit and Bizkaia, will return on 21 and 22 November to the international entrepreneurship centre B Accelerator Tower (BAT) in Bilbao. The meeting for the entrepreneurial ecosystem focused on Industry 4.0, Energy Transition, and Mobility will bring together the most prominent leaders, startups, and investors in these sectors in the capital of Bizkaia to discuss the future trends, opportunities, and challenges they face.
Among the main speakers who will share their views on the future of industry and energy in #SouthSummitIndustryEnergy are Anton Arts, Managing Partner at SET Ventures, and Christophe Williams, CEO and founder of Naked Energy. Arts has a track record of more than 25 investments and exits with a value of 1 billion euros, as well as deep expertise in Venture Capital and the latest technological advances in energy. For his part, Williams, founder of one of the pioneering companies in renewable energy solutions and Director of Solar Heat Europe (ESTIF), will talk about how he combines his dedication to the industry and his commitment to sustainability.
During South Summit Industry & Energy there will also be 6 'Building Sessions', in which the main leaders and experts in industry, energy and mobility will be able to connect and have open conversations with the audience of the gathering. In addition, attendees will learn first-hand about the startups that are leading transformation and innovation in these sectors.
The #SouthSummitIndustryEnergy agenda is completed with visits to the main technological and industrial hubs in Bilbao, as well as exclusive cultural activities.
For the third consecutive year, South Summit Industry & Energy will become a connecting bridge between the robust entrepreneurial ecosystem of Biscay and the most important players in the Industry 4.0, Energy Transition and Mobility sectors. Last year's edition gathered in Bilbao more than 300 attendees, of which hundred were startups and more than 50 were investors. In addition, more than 800 high-value connections were made during the meeting.
For María Benjumea, president and founder of South Summit, "Bizkaia's entrepreneurial ecosystem is a clear example of how innovation can transform and energise entire sectors, and we are delighted to be a driving force in this process".
Proof of this innovation and talent are the figures that Joseba Mariezkurrena, Director of Entrepreneurship and Business Competitiveness of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, offered at last year's edition of South Summit Industry & Energy: "25% of Bizkaia's GDP belongs to the industrial sector and we are the eighth region in the world in talent retention. The objective, from now on, is to internationalise and reach abroad. That is why we strengthen these alliances with South Summit because they put us on the map of the ecosystem."
