ID Logistics join forces with Dexory to deploy ASTRID

Dexory, a company in AI and robotics innovation, has partnered with ID Logistics as part of the ID Logistics’ ASTRID initiative, introducing Autonomous Stock Taking Robots designed for rapid inventory management.

This venture seeks to elevate warehouse accuracy and boost efficiency, thereby enhancing the quality of service for their clientele. Initial rollouts have begun in France, with plans to broaden the initiative to more locations in 2024.

At the heart of this partnership is Astrid, a cutting-edge robot that integrates flawlessly into daily warehouse operations to perform live, comprehensive inventory assessments, identifying discrepancies instantly. This method significantly reduces manual hours spent on inventory checks, enabling quick resolution of variances and minimising the ripple effects of inventory errors. Astrid's capability to audit up to 10,000 pallets per hour marks a substantial leap in operational efficiency.

The introduction of Astrid has been enthusiastically received by operational teams, with the robot becoming a fundamental component of the daily workflow. Astrid's deployment has propelled accuracy rates to an impressive 99.9%, nearing operational flawlessness. These robots work alongside staff and machinery during regular hours, manoeuvring without necessitating aisle closures, thus ensuring a seamless workflow.

The collaboration's highlights include the adoption of a digital twin technology, offering immediate data access and facilitating informed decision-making while improving visibility into the inventory management process, resource distribution, and more. The technology's flexibility to accommodate various pallet sizes and types of goods underscores its adaptability and relevance across different operational contexts.

Beniot Boiron, Group Innovation Manager at ID Logistics, added, "This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the evolution of inventory management and warehouse data acquisition. Astrid's precision and real-time monitoring capabilities have transformed our day-to-day operations, bringing accuracy to new heights”.

"We are thrilled to collaborate with ID Logistics to support the elimination of inventory visibility gaps in their warehouses using real-time data. This partnership represents a significant leap forward in enhancing operational efficiency, accuracy, and overall productivity," said Oana Jinga, Chief Operating and Product Officer at Dexory.

The success of Astrid in France has set the stage for further expansion into new geographies, promising to revolutionise inventory management practices on a global scale.
