FaceHeart at CES 2025
FaceHeart is a Taiwanese startup specialising in AI-driven, video-based contactless vital signs monitoring solutions. Its flagship product, FaceHeart Vitals, uses remote photoplethysmography technology to measure vital signs – including heart rate, blood pressure, respiration rate, oxygen saturation, heart rate variability, and stress index – using a standard camera. This enables users to obtain key health metrics through a 40 to 60-second video of their face, eliminating the need for physical contact.
In October 2023, FaceHeart received FDA 510(k) clearance for FaceHeart Vitals, making it the first video-based vital sign solution to achieve this status as a Class II medical device for heart rate measurement.
