Equipping women with the skills to be rockstars in the boardroom

It’s International Women’s Day 2024 and a number of senior women from the tech world are working together to create an action-oriented approach to closing the diversity gap in tech leadership.

Just 6% of the companies recognised in the 2023 ‘Cloud 100’ are led by women CEOs, and WorkBench’s 2022 #Womenterprise Report revealed that female-founded enterprise software startups represent only 2.08% of all enterprise software startups. Worst yet, the underrepresentation of women in the CEO seat has resulted in an underrepresentation of women across most of the key executive functions, particularly in go-to-market, strategy/finance, and product/engineering.

FinTech Innovation Lab, Primary Venture Partners & Enterprise Tech London are hosting a On the Business: Mastery Day in London on 2nd May 2024. The aim is to help women to excel in senior leadership positions and the event will focus on; ‘First Team’ Leadership Principles, P&L fluency, and business ratios. This pragmatic and practical approach will allow women leaders to move from working ‘in the business’ to working ‘on the business’.

Bringing together Senior Management and C-Suite women across all tech business functions the day will include the following sessions:

  • SaaS P&L Walkthrough + Why It Matters for You
  • ‘First Team’ Mentality for Senior Leaders
  • Financial Metrics for Sales & Marketing
  • Financial Metrics for Product & Engineering
  • Financial Metrics for CS
  • Succeeding in the Boardroom
  • Inside Track on Fundraising

The sessions are being delivered by a list of international tech leaders – Cassie Young, Nicole Fitzgerald, Michaela Lehr with more speakers to be confirmed.

The London event will capitalise on the tried and tested success of the inaugural event in New York in November 2023 – an event that had three no-shows, an NPS of 91 and multiple women saying they “wished they had been offered this program ten years earlier.”

Following the reviews of the inaugural event, a follow-up session was held in NYC in February with similar feedback and just one no-show! For both events, attendees ran the gamut from Series A startups to established public companies. Now, the next instalment is in London.

This event is an application only, in-person event at the FinTech Innovation Lab in London and is free to attend. Applications close on the 1st April and can be submit at: https://onthebusinessmasterydaylondon.splashthat.com/
