DigitalOcean announces availability of NVIDIA H100 GPUs on Paperspace

DigitalOcean Holdings, renowned for its developer cloud tailored to startups and expanding digital ventures, has unveiled the integration of NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core GPUs into its Paperspace platform.

Paperspace, a prominent name in cloud infrastructure catering to scalable GPU-powered applications, now grants access to one of the industry's most formidable GPUs. This move equips startups and growing digital businesses with cutting-edge infrastructure, pivotal for crafting the upcoming wave of AI/machine learning (AI/ML) applications. Through this development and other recent advancements, DigitalOcean is streamlining cloud computing, offering a comprehensive, cost-effective solution for the development, deployment, and scaling of AI models.

The escalating demand for accelerated AI computing among businesses eager to advance their AI/ML capabilities has spurred the need for NVIDIA H100 GPUs. Renowned for their stellar performance, these accelerators drastically cut down training times and model inference latency, making them perfect for large-scale AI model training and high-performance computing (HPC) tasks. Available for on-demand access or reservation for a specific term, NVIDIA H100 GPUs offer customers a flexible, economically viable option to match their business requirements.

“While many vendors are optimising their offerings to serve large enterprises, DigitalOcean is proud to offer startups and growing digital businesses with reliable and flexible access to NVIDIA H100 GPUs,” said Kanishka Roychoudhury, GM of AI/ML at DigitalOcean. “As we look ahead, DigitalOcean remains committed to providing solutions that offer superior performance and keep costs in check, lowering the barriers of entry for smaller businesses looking to leverage AI to improve profitability and efficiency.”

Customers now have the option to utilise NVIDIA H100 GPUs on DigitalOcean's Paperspace platform, either as single machines or in cluster formations. This flexibility caters to a diverse array of applications, from multi-node model training to intricate inferencing services. DigitalOcean has further enhanced its service by upgrading the underlying network infrastructure. It now boasts interconnect speeds of 3.2TBps, optimising performance for users who operate systems with one or more of these eight-chip configurations.

“Businesses of all sizes are increasingly looking to AI to boost efficiency and better serve customers,” said Dave Salvator, Director of Accelerated Computing Products at NVIDIA. “The availability of NVIDIA H100 GPUs through DigitalOcean’s Paperspace platform will help empower the next generation of startups, providing greater access to the tools they need to develop cutting-edge AI products and solutions.”

“Training our next-generation text-to-video model with millions of video inputs on NVIDIA H100 GPUs on Paperspace took us just three days, enabling us to get a newer version of our model much faster than before,” said Naeem Ahmed, Founder at Moonvalley. “We also appreciate Paperspace’s stability and excellent customer support, which has enabled our business to stay ahead of the AI curve.”

DigitalOcean, in its commitment to bolstering AI/ML businesses, extends its support beyond mere computing power. It focuses on providing a frictionless experience for these businesses to transition their models into production through gradient deployments. The latest updates to the Paperspace platform make deploying and scaling modern AI applications more straightforward than ever:

  • Redesigned Container Registry Experience: This feature has undergone a significant overhaul, offering a more simplified and flexible approach. It's now easier for dynamic businesses to kickstart successful deployments. The platform allows users to swiftly link with popular container registries, streamlining container validation and management.
  • Enhanced Security for Deployment Endpoints: In gradient deployments, customers have the option to keep endpoints public or switch them to a more secure setup. This includes the ability to manage permissions effectively. Such enhancements in deployment endpoints on Paperspace bolster security, thereby offering improved access control.
