Digital Student jobs platform UniTaskr fuels rapid growth with funding
UniTaskr, a digital platform for student and graduate freelancers, recently announced a substantial seven-figure investment, marking a significant milestone in its growth trajectory.
The funding will be instrumental in expanding and enhancing opportunities within its extensive global network of freelancers.
The technology enterprise, renowned for connecting households and businesses with a skilled workforce of university students and graduates, has closed this investment round, setting a strong foundation for its strategic plans. The investment will fortify UniTaskr's operations, especially in the UK and USA, and facilitate the creation of more work opportunities for its global student user base. This initiative aims to provide these individuals with invaluable experiences and practical skills that align with their educational pursuits.
Founded in 2019 by British entrepreneurs Joseph Black and Oliver Jacobs, UniTaskr has experienced substantial growth, boasting a client list that includes industry giants such as Adobe, Amazon Music, Takis, and Sony Music. The company's expansion into the US market earlier this year added thousands of members to its network, with daily additions reaching up to 1,000 students. This growth has led to an 80% increase in revenue and a 30% expansion in its user base for 2023, cementing UniTaskr's position as one of the leading providers of skilled freelance services.
UniTaskr's success is largely attributed to its innovative technology platform and user app, which has seen several updates, including the launch of the SHOUT tech platform "UGC Studio." This platform allows brands in the UK and US to access User-Generated Content (UGC) and nano influencers at scale, transforming their marketing strategies. The company has also streamlined its in-app subscription monetisation process, enhancing its ability to manage subscriptions and launch premium plans effectively.
These accomplishments have led UniTaskr to receive numerous industry accolades. The company secured first place on the TalentTech 50 list, outperforming competitors like Indeed and CV Library. It also surpassed companies such as Sage, Warner Media, and Walkers Crisps at the TikTok Ad awards and was named one of the "Top 100 Next Generation Companies" in the 2023 World Future Awards.
Joseph Black, Co-Founder of UniTaskr, commented on the investment: “Since its inception, the UniTaskr team has strived to provide students and graduates with rewarding job opportunities that leverage their knowledge, talents, and insights. Our success in building a formidable tech company that consistently delivers for its clients is a testament to our hard work.”
Oliver Jacobs, Co-Founder of UniTaskr, added: “This latest investment not only validates our achievements but also heralds an exciting future. We're looking forward to what lies ahead.”
UniTaskr's headquarters are located in London, with additional offices in Birmingham and Los Angeles. The company now employs a team of 15 and boasts a membership of over 320,000.
