Deeptech Leader Kelly Richdale Joins Amadeus as Venture Partner
Amadeus Capital Partners, the European technology investor, has announced that Kelly Richdale has joined its team as a Venture Partner.
Richdale brings extensive expertise in several critical sectors, including cyber and quantum security, blockchain, identity management, and AI. In her new role, she will provide advice on investment opportunities and offer support to portfolio companies, drawing on her successful background as an entrepreneur and executive.
Richdale has a proven track record of developing high-growth tech businesses internationally, with two notable exits in the deeptech sector. In 2000, she founded A4Vision, a biometrics company, and led the development of its solution suite until its acquisition by Idemia in 2010. Following this, she led the Quantum Safe Security division at ID Quantique until its acquisition by SK Telecom in 2018.
Currently, Richdale serves as a Senior Advisor to SandboxAQ, a company spun out from Alphabet, and as a Non-Executive Director (NED) for a Swiss insurance company, focusing on digital transformation, cyber risk, and resilience. She is also a Quantum Fellow at the World Economic Forum, where she develops strategies for the quantum economy, and sits on the scientific advisory board for the University of Geneva's information security course.
Previously, Richdale was a member of the executive team at Libra Networks (also known as Diem), a cryptocurrency project backed by Meta. She also contributed to the Innovation Council of Innosuisse, the Swiss federal agency tasked with promoting science-based innovation.
Anne Glover, CEO and Co-Founder, Amadeus Capital Partners, commented: “Kelly’s entrepreneurial drive and expertise in developing GoToMarket strategies, business development and sales channels for deeptech businesses, along with her extensive global network, will be immensely helpful to both our portfolio companies and our investment team, as we seek new opportunities across quantum, cyber and blockchain. Kelly is as focused as I am on improving diversity in both venture capital and science-driven startups and we’re excited to have her join the team.”
Kelly Richdale, Venture Partner, Amadeus Capital Partners, added: “Amadeus has been in the business of transformative technology investment for three decades and I am delighted to support their mission to scale up deeptech enterprises across Europe. This is a great opportunity for me to share my passion for entrepreneurship with Europe’s most thrilling, science-led startups, and help build the world-leading businesses of tomorrow.”
