Deepagro at CES 2024
At CES 2024, Startup Magazine’s Anna Wood met with Deepagro, an AgriTech startup that is focused on integrating AI into agriculture.
The startup’s key product, SprAI, is a selective herbicide application technology designed to significantly reduce the use of agrochemicals in farming practices. By leveraging AI and computer vision, this technology enables precision spraying, which targets only the weeds in a crop, thus minimising the amount of herbicide used.
One of the key achievements of DeepAgro is its ability to reduce the environmental impact and the use of agrochemicals by up to 70%. This innovative approach is not only cost-effective but also environmentally friendly, addressing issues such as soil and water contamination, loss of biodiversity, and the development of diseases associated with indiscriminate agrochemical use.
DeepAgro's technology utilises RGB cameras and a computer system, enabling real-time selective application of herbicides directly on weeds. This system can be mounted on any spraying equipment, regardless of brand or age, allowing farmers to continue their usual practices but in a more efficient and sustainable manner.
