ClimeCo EcoCommitted Partner Programme allows SMBs to Offset Carbon Footprints

ClimeCo, the global decarbonisation and environmental solutions company, has unveiled its EcoCommitted Partner Programme. This programme offers small and midsize businesses (SMBs) an accessible, economical, and legitimate pathway to distinguish themselves through adopting sustainability practices, reducing their carbon footprint, and showcasing their environmental stewardship and leadership.

The EcoCommitted Partner Programme allows businesses to select from three tailored options based on their size to completely neutralise their operational emissions for a year by purchasing offset credits from a portfolio of globally recognised and verified environmental initiatives. ClimeCo, with its expertise in combating climate change, has carefully curated and combined these initiatives, selecting them for their proven effectiveness and environmental benefits. Projects under the EcoCommitted umbrella could involve forest preservation and management, methane gas elimination, reduction of industrial greenhouse gas emissions, among other significant activities.

The programme is structured into three tiers of participation:

  • For businesses with one to five employees, a $400 investment offsets 32 metric tons (MT) of carbon dioxide, equivalent to removing 7 gasoline cars from the road for a year.
  • For businesses with six to ten employees, an $800 investment offsets 64 MT of carbon dioxide, equivalent to the yearly energy consumption of 8 homes.
  • For businesses with eleven to twenty employees, a $1,600 investment offsets 128 MT of carbon dioxide, equivalent to the consumption of 300 barrels of oil.

ClimeCo has streamlined the process to determine the necessary investment for businesses of different sizes to achieve carbon neutrality, with registration possible in under a minute through an e-commerce platform. Businesses seeking to tailor their offsets further, covering aspects such as shipping, events, or plastic usage, or to select specific projects to support, are encouraged to consult ClimeCo's experts directly.

EcoCommitted Partners receive a bespoke certificate highlighting their commitment to sustainability, which can be showcased at their premises, on their website, or through social media. This recognition aids in attracting a growing demographic of consumers eager to engage with companies that are proactive about environmental responsibility. The EcoCommitted status is subject to annual renewal.

“Interest in taking tangible steps to help the planet, whether from businesses or consumers, has never been higher, but many are intimidated by the process or unsure how to get started,” said ClimeCo President and Chief Executive Officer Bill Flederbach. “Because ClimeCo believes that every business is capable of making a difference in the critical fight against climate change, we have created the EcoCommitted Partner Program to remove barriers to entry and allow them to move forward easily and with great confidence in the impact of the programs they are supporting. We hope this will be the first of many steps our partners take to continue the path toward greater sustainability.”
