AngelNV bootcamp begins 30th September

Classes for the free AngelNV Enterpreneur Due Diligence Bootcamp for startup founders will begin 30th September in downtown Las Vegas and continue every Tuesday through 28th October at 5:30pm at the International Innovation Center.

After completing the educational bootcamp, founders can apply for AngelNV funding (separate registration is required). One startup will receive a $400,000 investment comprised of funding from accredited angel investors who invest in the AngelNV Conference Fund and matching funds from the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI).

Thanks in large part to the first in the nation “Nevada Certified Investor” (NCI) law that was created by passage of AB75 in 2023, AngelNV saw the number of investors participating in the programme last term rise by 32% which led to a 38% increase in the amount invested last year. In total, 78 angel investors raised $465,000 in the last round of the AngelNV Conference Fund as opposed to $290,000 in the prior term. And the $465,000 was then matched by SSBCI funding from the state of Nevada, resulting in nearly $1 million invested directly into startups that help diversify Nevada’s economy.

The intrastate NCI law enables more Nevadans to qualify to invest at lower minimum levels. AngelNV organisers believe similar success and growth will be seen this term as well.

Operated by StartUpNV, a statewide nonprofit incubator and accelerator for Nevada-based startups, the AngelNV programme teaches founders the fundamentals of attracting venture capital, including perfecting their pitch, conducting market research, and developing a deck to attract investors. The curriculum also covers business model development, analysing market opportunity, and common legal issues for startups.
