Alrik raises new funding to build the global construction logistics OS
Swedish startup Alrik, the fast-scaling platform transforming construction logistics, has raised a new funding round led by Nordic-VC People Ventures, with Pi Labs doubling down on their investment.
Alrik is building the global construction logistics operating system, empowering suppliers, merchants & distributors, carriers, truck drivers and construction sites to collaborate through one connected platform. The company is already winning the Nordics, securing major customers including Saint-Gobain, Renta, Byggmax, Sonsab, XL-Bygg and Karl Hedin and is now expanding across northern Europe.
“Think of Alrik as the Doordash for building material merchants,” said Nici Sundén-Cullberg, Founder and CEO.
“Alrik is a modern operating system that helps merchants stay focused on their core business while we automate logistics, optimize transport sourcing, manage invoicing, and connect seamlessly with ERPs, carriers, drivers and construction sites – turning messy, analogue workflows into one smart, scalable system,” said Axel Enblad, Founder and CPO.
Construction is a €15 trillion industry, with 10% of spend tied to logistics – yet most of the infrastructure still runs on manual calls and paper notes. Alrik eliminates this friction with tools that automate dispatching, invoicing, and emissions tracking – helping merchants reduce their logistics costs and win more business. On average, customers see a 25% cost reduction per delivery, with fully automated emissions reporting to construction sites.
The platform has seen rapid traction: in the last twelve months, revenue and app usage is up over 10x and shipments per month on the app have grown from 2,000 to over 25,000. Alrik’s ecosystem model allows each merchant to connect with thousands of carriers and over 100,000 unique construction sites, driving powerful network effects.
“Alrik isn’t just solving today’s logistics challenges with a smart SaaS approach, it’s unlocking new revenue streams and creating powerful distribution effects that connect merchants, carriers, and construction sites into a future-ready ecosystem” said Thérèse Mannheimer at People Ventures.
Alrik was recently named Sweden’s Most Innovative Software Company of 2024 by Breakit. The new funding will accelerate GTM and product development as the company scales with its enterprise customers across northern Europe.
“Alrik is solving one of construction’s biggest friction points – and the momentum speaks for itself. We’re excited to support their accelerated growth and positive impact on the €1.5 trillion construction logistics industry,” said Dhruv Gupta at Pi Labs.
