AI test engineer company to recruit for over 80 new positions

BlinqIO, the pioneer behind the first AI test engineer, has unveiled plans to recruit 80 new employees as part of an ambitious US expansion strategy.

Fifteen of these positions are to be filled by the end of this year. This announcement follows a successful £3.8 million funding round led by Boston-based Flint Capital and key Silicon Valley executives. BlinqIO’s AI test engineers emulate human capabilities, accepting high-level test requirements and transforming them into test automation code.

The company has recently opened its second US office on Sleeper Street in Boston and is actively seeking talent in Development and Sales. This growth aims to mitigate the current shortage of test automation engineers in the industry.

Founded in 2023, BlinqIO currently employs over 25 people and is headquartered in Boston. The company’s AI test engineers are designed to support existing software teams, which often face significant workload pressures. By autonomously understanding requirements, making decisions, and creating and maintaining test automation code (Playwright), BlinqIO’s technology addresses the gap in test automation expertise.

With a recent influx of $5 million in funding, BlinqIO aspires to lead the next generation of AI testing solutions for the software industry. The company aims to set a new quality standard, benefiting sectors such as finance, retail, transportation, and healthcare with its advanced AI testers.

BlinqIO’s technology supports multi-platform (mobile and web) and multilingual capabilities, allowing the AI test engineer to operate in over 50 languages. This feature enhances efficiency for websites and apps, enabling larger enterprises to launch products faster by leveraging AI test engineers who can work around the clock.

According to IBISWorld, the number of Software Testing Services businesses in the UK reached 613 in 2023, marking a 5.8% increase from 2022. Additionally, a Harvard Business Review study revealed that developers spend about 35% of their time on software testing, highlighting the critical need for advanced solutions like those provided by BlinqIO.

Speaking about the new Boston office and plans for recruitment, BlinqIO Co-Founder and CEO Tal Barmeir said: “We are hugely excited to be expanding BlinqIO’s team further across the US. With offices in both Delaware and now Boston we hope to address a shortfall in software testers and help free up teams working for large corporations so that they can focus on more important tasks. Software testing is hugely significant to organisations, particularly when it comes to product launches and maintaining customer loyalty. We hope the growth of BlinqIO will also help set a new industry standard through transforming the entire software testing sector.”
