$13 billion Series F pushes Anthropic to $183 billion valuation
Anthropic has completed a Series F funding round totalling $13 billion. This investment reflects Anthropic’s continued momentum and reinforces its position as one of the leading intelligence platforms for enterprises, developers, and power users.
The round was led by ICONIQ, with other significant investors including: Altimeter, Baillie Gifford, affiliated funds of BlackRock, Blackstone, Coatue, D1 Capital Partners, General Atlantic, General Catalyst, GIC, Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, Insight Partners, Jane Street, Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, Qatar Investment Authority, TPG, T. Rowe Price Associates, T. Rowe Price Investment Management, WCM Investment Management, and XN.
Anthropic has experienced rapid expansion following the release of Claude in March 2023. By the start of 2025 – less than two years after launch – its run-rate revenue had reached around $1 billion. By August 2025 that figure exceeded $5 billion, which placed Anthropic among the fastest-growing technology companies in history.
The company’s rise has been propelled by its technical expertise, its focus on safety, and its frontier research. Breakthroughs in alignment and interpretability have underpinned the strength and consistency of its models. Each day, more businesses, developers, and advanced users have turned to Claude to address demanding problems. Anthropic now supports more than 300,000 business customers, and its number of large accounts – each generating over $100,000 in run-rate revenue – has risen nearly sevenfold in the past year.
This growth spans the entire Anthropic platform, with advancements for businesses, developers, and consumers. For enterprises, its API and tailored products have made it possible to embed powerful AI into core systems with minimal integration work. Developers have adopted Claude Code as their preferred tool since its full release in May 2025. In just three months, Claude Code has generated more than $500 million in run-rate revenue, with usage expanding more than tenfold. For individuals, the Pro and Max plans have provided advanced AI capabilities to support both daily tasks and specialised projects.
“From Fortune 500 companies to AI-native startups, our customers rely on Anthropic’s frontier models and platform products for their most important, mission-critical work,” said Krishna Rao, Chief Financial Officer of Anthropic. “We are seeing exponential growth in demand across our entire customer base. This financing demonstrates investors’ extraordinary confidence in our financial performance and the strength of their collaboration with us to continue fuelling our unprecedented growth.”
This latest funding round will expand its capacity to meet growing enterprise demand, deepen its safety research, and support international expansion.
