TaskHer raises £650K to expand tradeswomen platform
TaskHer, a platform connecting homeowners with verified tradeswomen across London, has raised a £650,000 seed round to expand its platform. The round was co-led by Trust for London, Resolution Ventures, Ufi Ventures, and Second Century Ventures (as part of the REACH UK programme).
The investment will support the next phase of TaskHer’s growth, including expansion into B2B partnerships with housing associations, women’s refuges, and lettings agencies, as well as supporting further development of the platform. Earlier this year, the startup announced its partnership with Refuge, one of the largest domestic abuse organisations in the UK, to provide trauma-informed maintenance in domestic abuse safe houses, recognising that for many women rebuilding their lives, something as ordinary as a repair visit can feel anything but routine.
TaskHer was founded in 2022 by Anna Moynihan and Paul Moynihan, after their experience managing a home renovation highlighted the lack of female tradespeople on site, sparking a wider conversation about visibility, access, and gender imbalance in the industry. As well as making home services hiring safer and more transparent, TaskHer is focused on tackling the wider skills shortage in the UK trades industry, where women currently make up less than 3% of the skilled workforce, by supporting more women to access opportunities in the sector.

This seed round is a vote of confidence in our mission to normalise women in the trades and provide a more inclusive experience for homeowners, strategic partners, and tradeswomen alike.
“With this investment, we aren’t just scaling a marketplace; we are actively tackling the UK’s skills shortage by empowering a new generation of tradeswomen to build thriving businesses. We’re proving that property maintenance can be built on trust, whether we’re working in a family home or supporting housing providers and frontline organisations.”
