Elswood said the Wizme proposition is “particularly relevant to the new era we face in meetings and travel where corporates, venues and intermediaries will need something very different from the limited options currently available.”

He continues in his role as non-executive director at Capita Travel and Events following nine years as CCO. Elswood has additionally held the roles of Managing Director of NYS Corporate - which was acquired by Capita in 2017 - and Managing Director at BSI.

Wizme was founded in 2015 by Nour Mouakke and provides end-to-end automation of the venue booking process.

“Wizme is addressing the frustrations felt by meeting bookers, agencies and venues with technology that reduces operating costs, drives higher value from meetings spend and improves quality,” said Elswood.

“Corporates require better control and spend management through clear visibility, authorisation and internal space management. And everyone will see the need to simplify and consolidate requirements into a single, uncompromised system, for small and large meetings - the gap I see Wizme filling.”
