Mindstone announces crowdfunding campaign to democratise access to AI

Mindstone, the upskilling platform bridging the gap between the potential and practical use of AI to boost productivity, announces the launch of its crowdfunding campaign to extend the AI opportunity to its community.

The rapid adoption of AI is set to contribute $15.7 trillion to the global GDP by 2030. Mindstone stands at the forefront of this growth, ready to meet the surge in demand for AI skills. As traditional education systems struggle to prepare people for the future, AI's capacity to enhance productivity by 10 to 40% highlights the critical need for upskilling. Mindstone's approach combines community engagement with a scalable, personalised learning platform, setting it apart from traditional course providers. This strategy has not only driven remarkable increases in event participation and sales but has also established Mindstone as a leader in AI education. With a vision to become the go-to brand for AI upskilling, Mindstone is uniquely positioned as a key player in the AI revolution.

The team behind Mindstone bring a wealth of experience, including co-CEOs Joshua Wohle, with over two decades of success in coding and scaling startups, and Melinda Jacobs, a gamification expert and founder with more than ten years in leadership. CTO Florian Zysset brings over a decade of coding expertise and leadership experience from roles at SuperAwesome and Monzo, and Senior Engineer Stefan Keranov has eight years of experience in coding at VC-backed startups like SuperAwesome and Kaluza, adding substantial depth to the team's capabilities.

Commenting on this latest round of funding, CEO Joshua Wohle commented, “Choosing to crowdfund isn't really about raising capital; it's a powerful declaration of our commitment to democratise the future of learning. This method not only fuels our growth but significantly amplifies our message, engaging directly with the community that believes in us. It's a testament to our belief that everyone should have a stake, and be upskilled, in the AI revolution.”

To date, the company has raised $5.1 million, with investment from the likes of Pearson Ventures, Moonfire Ventures, Zanichelli Venture, and MSM.

With £550k committed privately, those who wish to participate in this raise can do so via Crowdcube. The maximum ticket size is capped at £25k, to prioritise the community and democratise access to this opportunity, instead of catering to professional investors.
